At eleven
His history homework turned into films.
Pedro shot them, edited them in the old Windows editing program and acted in them too. His teachers always gave him top marks, because they had never been handed anything like it.
Three films, in this order.

At eleven
Pedro shot them, edited them in the old Windows editing program and acted in them too. His teachers always gave him top marks, because they had never been handed anything like it.

At fourteen
His cousin Diogo came up from the Algarve to spend a couple of weeks in Coimbra. Pedro filmed him in their grandparents’ yard, among tractors and motorbikes, with the camera the family had at home. It took him almost a year to edit. It ended with a fado.
The end credits read “produções pedro&diogo.Lda”.

Ten years later
We went back to Uncle Manel and Aunt Maria’s house to ask them why.
It almost changed their lives. It changed how they looked at time: their grandson would grow up fast, they would grow old, and now there was somewhere all of it was kept.
That is what we do today, for other families.
