Wedding films in Portugal

The day will go by fast.

On the day itself you will remember almost nothing. Not because it didn’t matter, but because you were living it.

“We hate being filmed.”

What most couples tell us in the first conversation.

Good. People who hate the camera don’t perform for it, and that is exactly why they look so good on film.

From the morning until the music stops.

We arrive while you are still getting ready and leave when the music stops. We don’t direct, we don’t ask for retakes, and we don’t gather anyone for group shots unless you ask us to.

Arriving
Your names at the door
The ceremony
The table
The room, before you walk in
The first dance

It starts months before. It doesn’t end when the last guest leaves.

  1. Before

A long conversation with the two of you, and another with your families. We want to know who cries easily and which grandmother has to be in the film.

  2. On the day

Two people, small lenses and natural light. Nobody walking backwards in front of you down the aisle.

  3. After

A première: the two of you, the film, and whoever you want in the room. We keep the original footage for your first anniversary and your tenth.

What you receive.

These are suggestions, not a package. We shape everything around your wedding.

The teaser

In the first week, while everyone is still talking about it.

The film

Six to eight weeks later. A story, with your own voices in it. This is the one you will watch again.

The documentary

Ceremony and speeches, uncut. Nobody watches it in the first year; everyone watches it in the tenth.

The vertical version

For phones, and for those who couldn’t be there.

The originals

Kept by us. If you ever lose everything, we still have it.

A wedding, from the start to the end of the party.

At Quinta das Janelas, in Coimbra, on a summer Saturday.

What couples ask.

“How many weddings do you film a year?”

Few, and never two on the same weekend. The preparation conversations take more hours than the day itself, and we won’t cut them short.

“Will you work with our photographer?”

Always, and we talk to them before the day so nobody fights over the same angle. If you prefer, we bring our own.

“When do we get the film?”

The teaser in the first week, the film in six to eight weeks at a première we organise with you, and the documentary within three months.

Tell us your story.

How you met, who must be in the film, what makes you nervous. The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
